DAY 3 Historic Center & Food Tour

Morning: 10am Embark upon a food guided tour of Rome. A transfer might be included to easily reach the location of the tour.

Morning: 10am Bid farewell to Rome and begin your transfer to Naples, your next destination, on a private included transfer

DAY 6 Pompei & Herculaneum

Destination: Pompei & Herculaneum

Morning: Visit the archeological park of Pompei, buried during the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D, but largely preserved and declared a Unesco World Heritage site, and among the most popular tourist attractions in the world.

Continue to visit Herculaneum in the afternoon. The order of the visit might be changed according to the guide and driver’s feedback on traffic conditions etc…

DAY 10 Palermo & Monreale- Sicily

Destination: Palermo

Morning & afternoon: Explore Palermo on an included guided and also food tour. You’ll explore some of the city’s most impressive highlights. Wander the wide elegant lanes of the Via Vittorio Emanuele, the city’s main avenue. You’ll also discover the Quattro Canti di Citta' (the Four Corners of the City), and Palermo's extravagant Baroque crossroad, which is the junction of the two main streets of the city—the ancient cardus and decumanus of the original Roman implant.

Continue to Monreale to witness the Arab-Norman splendor of Monreale Cathedral, situated in the hills overlooking Palermo. See Byzantine art come to life within the cathedral's nave, where nearly every surface is covered with intricately-detailed mosaics depicting biblical scenes in rich colors and gold filigree. After your tour, you’ll return to Palermo.

DAY 11 Corleone & Agrigento

Morning & afternoon: Begin your transfer through the Sicilian countryside toward Palermo, stopping on the way at the historic hilltop town of Corleone.

Lunch/Afternoon: yours to do as you please. Your local expert will show you a place where to get something to eat.

Visit Agrigento’s archeological area with a local guide. This is called “the Valley of Temples”. Its temples here were all built between 510 and 430 BC.

DAY 12 Roman Villa & Siracusa

Destination: Roman Villa & Siracusa - Ortigia

Morning: Depart to reach Piazza Armerina and enjoy a visit of the Villa Romana del Casale with its almost 4000 SQM of original polychrome marble mosaics. It has been in The World Heritage List since 1997. It's an excellent example of the IV century AD aristocratic daily life.

Lunch/Afternoon: quick bite at the Villa area.

DAY 13 Siracusa Archeological Park & Boat ride

Destination: Siracusa

Morning: 9:15am Meeting with the guide and the driver in the lobby.

Visit to the Neapolis Archaeological Park to discover some of the treasures the ancient Greeks – and then the Romans – left behind in Siracusa. Explore the 16,000-seat Greek theatre, carved out of solid rock, one of the largest of its kind in the world and still in use today; Enter the ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE for a guided visit of the 5th century BC sparkling-white Greek Theater, the Garden of Paradise, the Ear of Dionysus (an ear-shaped grotto with an unusual echo), the Altar of Hieron II, the Roman Amphitheater, and the Cordmakers’ Cave. About 500m east of the archaeological park, you can visit the archeological museum of Syracuse which contains one of Sicily's largest and most interesting archaeological collections. Allow plenty of time to investigate the four sectors charting the area's prehistory, as well as Syracuse's development from foundation to the late Roman period.

2:45pm You will meet in the lobby a representative of the Boat company. Enjoy a boat ride around the island of Ortigia. A very relaxing moment to see the enchanting island from a different perspective on board a comfortable boat (this is not a yacht :) Time and weather permitting, It could be possible to explore the limestone grottoes along the coast of Siracusa.

DAY 14 Departure

Destination: Catania & Rome

Morning: transfer to Catania airport to get your connection to Rome.
